Melvin E. Thompson, born May 22, 1934, passed away April 30, 2012 at age 77. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Thompson, five brothers and three sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce; children, Shelia Thompson, Teressa McElvogue, Kevin Thompson and Ronald Thompson; brother, Mike Thompson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 4 at Iles Funeral Homes – Grandview Park Chapel with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-2:00 p.m., Friday (two hours prior to the service) at the funeral home.
