Steven D. Richmond, 53, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at home of natural causes. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Park Chapel with visitation prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia, IA.

Steve along with his twin sister, Sandy, was born on April 28, 1959 in Des Moines to Dale and Pauline (Kosman) Richmond. He was a 1977 graduate of East High School and worked over 36 years as a night stockman at the East Euclid and Ankeny Hy-Vee Food stores. Steve had ridden on two RAGBRI's. He enjoyed classic rock concerts and attending the Iowa State Fair. He looked forward each year to holidays and the reunions of his family and East High classmates.

Steve will be remembered by family and friends as a good and honest man. Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Deb (Doug) Willyard of West Des Moines and Sandy (Dave) Perryman of Carlisle; six nieces and nephews, Sarah, Brian and Kim Willyard and Nicole, Sean and Carly Perryman; uncle, David Kosman; many cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Pauline Richmond and grandparents, Bill and Dot Richmond and Paul and Frances Kosman.
