Brenda Sue Poundstone, 50, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at Iles Funeral Homes - Westover Chapel with burial following at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes.

Brenda was born November 10, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa where she lived most of her life. She was employed in the healthcare and restaurant industries for many years. She had many gifted talents including: jewelry making, beading, painting, sewing, quilting and gardening and was an avid reader.

Brenda is survived by a brother, Todd of Grimes; a sister, Deborah of Des Moines; the Crane family, Bob (Carol), Janey, Rob (Sarah), Robert, Chris, Jacob, Matt (Rachel)and Muffy (Rick)Harris; her dogs, Lilly and Frannie and many other animal friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerald and Marilyn; grandmother, Elizabeth and her dogs, Mamie and Lucy.

Visitation will be 3-5:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Animal Rescue League of Iowa or American Diabetes Association.
